This album was started in 2022 (the distant past) as our practice room was getting sold to be turned into flats (classic Manchester). The drums were recorded with haste and impressive accuracy before we lost the room forever. What followed was several years of remote recordings, re-recordings and re-re-recordings as Bass had moved away to study ecology, Jack started (and has since finished) a welding apprenticeship, Lucy started flitting between countries, and Tomos decided he disliked all of his previously recorded drum tracks.
Finally, after many many group calls, and with the ever-present patience of Prash - our mix & mastering engineer, we have emerged from the cave carrying 11 tracks to take you on a journey through a storied, proggy landscape called home by the weirding creature The Otherling.
This band has cost us 8 bassists, 3 guitarists, 5 uni degrees, 4 pets, countless arguments, several relationships, hundreds of hours of therapy, and all of our sanity. We fucking love it.
